Hi everyone! I’m Olivia, the creator of Grandma’s Place.

After living and working in the D.C., Maryland, and Virginia area (the DMV) for over 40 years, I retired and moved back to my hometown. As a grandmother, I know how important play time is. In the DMV, my grandchildren had so many wonderful options for entertainment and creative play. However, I was disheartened to find that our community still had no local places for children to enjoy, express themselves, or explore their creativity without a long drive. After much prayer, the idea for Grandma’s Place was born.

I truly believe children need a place to unplug, put down the electronics, and engage in imaginative, hands-on play activities the way we used to as kids. I built this for our community’s children, and it is my prayer that your children will love Grandma’s Place as much as I loved creating it for them.
